About me
My name is Kasper Van De Velde, and I am an independent game developer, designer, tech artist, and most of all programmer and problem solver.
My main aspiration when making games is to let people learn something; even in games that aren't made explicitly for education. I love having small things that make the player do a second take, wonder how that's possible, think about why it could or couldn't happen.
A great example is this work by M.C. Escher; the subtle impossibility of the waterfall feeding itself.

I am currently in my last year of studying Digital Arts & Entertainment, majoring in Independent Game Production at Howest in Kortrijk. Before this, I was in secondary school, studying mathematics and science at GO! Atheneum Mariakerke, where I graduated top of my class and being awarded for being the best in my year in mathematics.
Outside of games, I also love music. I play the drums, and am trying my best to learn how to play the piano. My main genres are alternative rock and metal, and I love twenty one pilots, Linkin Park, etc.
